Automaton's Heart
Client Loot - Automatons Heart

Journal Description

"This device sends small surges of Primal energy to the automaton's extremities, allowing it to move and perform basic functions."

The Automaton's Heart is a piece of Client Loot, serving as the objective of the Ector Client Job Heartbroken. It is also the result of Luther Clockwise's study into the ancient Keeper Glyphs , codenamed Project Pendulum.

The heart is ultimately looted at the end of Heartbroken, in Clockwise's underground Project Pendulum chamber, beneath his house on Muddler's Row in Stonemarket.

Trivia[]

  • According to the description, this device uses Primal to infuse the automaton with life, much like the Soul of the Automaton.
    • Due to being in contact with the unnamed Engineer who designed the Soul, it can be inferred that Clockwise was at the banquet when Vivian Northcrest suggested using the Primal to provide the automatons with the ability to think, or was told of this idea by either the Engineer or Mayhew, a nobleman who invited Lady Northcrest to elaborate on her idea.[1]
    • It can also be inferred that Clockwise was able to access the Primal energy through the Glyphs he discovered in the City's underground.[2]
  • This device appears to be modeled after a difference engine column.
  • Game files label it as "ThePerpetualMechanism"
